I am also on the committee for the New York Junior League's Fall Auction at Sotheby's. (Click the photo below for more info.) Not only should everyone come, but since it's a fundraiser for the Playground Improvement Project, you should also make a donation! It's tax deductable and with only a few months left in the year, a great way to get in your last minute charitable donations.

When the light changed to cross 37th Street to 38th Street, said guy turned toward me in his car, stuck his head out the window and shouted, "Why don't you move your fat ass, bitch?"
I have two issues with this:
#1. I do not have a fat ass.
#2. Who on earth shouts this at a woman with a baby? Was this guy raised by wolves?
New York City never ceases to amaze me.

As I chased up the hill at 36th Street, Nelson's "Love And Affection" came over my iPod. It's an awesome song, so I posted it below. All hail, 1991! They just don't write tunes like this anymore.
They have a genius slideshow call 30 Bad Financial Habits to Drop By Age 30.
#10, Stop Asking Parents For Money is my favorite. If there is one issue I see a lot with women I know and around the way -- that bothers me more than anything -- it's how many still live off their parents. Even if it's just a credit card, it's inappropriate when someone is deep into their 20s and beyond. At the risk of sounding judgey, it's just lame. I don't understand how parents allow it when their kid should be a functioning member of society. Don't they feel like they've failed in some way?
...and now I'll get off my soapbox.

The ladies and I -- and apparently 25,000 other people -- kicked the snot out of the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure 5K this morning in a cool 29 minutes.
I think we could have done even better, but there were a lot of slow poke Suburban moms out for a Sunday jog clogging up the route in Central Park. Oh well, I guess it's OK, given that it was for charity.
The ladies et moi, post run, pre-mimosas.

Also: I saw a two bedroom at One York Stret on Wednesday (before getting knee deep into the Kir Royales at The Brandy Library) and it restored my faith in modern architecture. Even the garage is cool. If you have upwards of three million dollars burning a hole in your pocket, I recommend this place.
