A reader left a comment yesterday about and old post in which I make fun of a woman on a YouTube Video who said that the leather on her Louis Vuitton monogram bag was "to die for." The joke's on her, because the Monogram and Damier bags in the LV line are not made of leather -- they're made of treated canvas, as they have been since the bags were first made in France. The canvas is tough, though, and can withstand pretty much anything. You can also easily clean LV bags with babywipes.
If you're looking to kill some cows and want a leather bag, then the elegant Epi leather line is more your speed. You can get many of the popular LV styles -- Speedy, Alma, etc. in Epi leather, and in many colors.
